Christopher Boyd – Founder
In 2009 Chris Boyd founded C J Boyd Solicitors, setting its focus on property law, small business and personal legal advice. With over 30 years in the law, he developed a wide range of business and professional contacts and an expertise in commercial and residential property matters.
In his decade with the firm Chris built our reputation representing long-standing clients in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial property, off-the-plan purchases, leases for residential, commercial and retail premises, small business transactions, franchise agreements, estate planning and contractual matters.
C J Boyd Solicitors has continued Chris’ legacy of strong client relationships, a pragmatic approach, commercial acumen and technical skill.
Soiam Raja – Principal
Graduating with a Bachelor of Media and a Bachelor of Laws in 2011, Soiam is well versed in property law and dispute resolution.
Since joining C J Boyd Solicitors, she has been the key liaison with our major client and residential land developer, Johnson Property Group. Soiam is responsible for property transactions including, but not limited to, advising on planning and Local Government issues, easements and restrictions on the use of land, as well as covenants and planning agreements. She provides legal advice on complex sale and purchase transactions, commercial and retail leases, including tax implications and commercial obligations with counter-parties.
Soiam also handles employment law disputes including employee/contractor relationships, redundancies, statutory entitlement claims and employment contract reviews. Soiam has a keen interest in assisting clients with issues relating to any employment rights and responsibilities as an employer or employee.
Soiam is bilingual in English and Hindi. She is a motivated lawyer who takes pride in being able to offer high-quality advice in a timely manner and enjoys the challenge of working with clients to resolve their, often complex, legal issues.
Angela Boyd – Special Counsel
Wills and Estates
Angela graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1982 in Arts Law. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1983 and has been practicing ever since. Angela ran her own practice and has worked at Edney Ryan Legal Firm specialising in Wills and Estates.
Angela has a specialised diploma in Wills and Estates from the College of Law.
Angela has a strong work ethic and is an excellent communicator.
Vlad Vishney – Special Counsel
Construction, Property Development, Disputes and Litigation
Vlad is a lawyer with real-world experience gained over thirty years in construction, property development and commerce. He obtained a first-class honours degree in building in 1991 and spent his first twenty years as a successful builder and developer in Sydney. In 2009 he pursued his life-long interest in law to undertake a Juris Doctor degree which he completed and was admitted to practice in 2012.
Vlad has extensive expertise as a legal adviser and litigator, gained through legal practice for a multitude of clients in a large Sydney law firm, as an accredited adjudicator, and more recently, in the role of General Counsel for some of the most significant and well-known developers in Australia.
Vlad has considerable experience in drafting contracts and other legal documents, but is equally well versed in all aspects of the litigation process, having had carriage of a multitude of legal proceedings in the Supreme, District and Local Courts of NSW, as well as in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Vlad’s clients value his practical, no-nonsense approach to legal practice and his clear and simple way of speaking with his clients about their issues. He prides himself on his ability to explain complex legal problems in simple terms.

Margaret Wallace – Consultant
Graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Finance and Systems) and Bachelor of Laws at the University of New South Wales, Margaret joined the practice in 2013. She is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
For many years Margaret worked within the property division of the boutique investment consultant, Grant Samuel & Associates.
Siena Matrone – Paralegal (Graduate in Law)
Siena has graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Bachelor of Laws (Majoring in Marketing) and is a recipient of the Global Leadership Program certificate.
Siena is positive, approachable and full of initiative. Siena prides herself on her professionalism and ability to provide legal advice on purchase and sale transactions. Siena is a key liaison with our major client and property developer, Johnson Property Group.
Siena is responsible for assisting in the Wills and Estates division.
Siena is a National B Badged netball umpire. She is an excellent team player and is flexible and adaptive to new situations.
Siena has exceptional interpersonal skills and is driven to provide commercial, value adding advice to clients.
Declan Pluim – Law Clerk
Declan is due to graduate with a Bachelor of Media and a Bachelor of Laws in 2021 from Macquarie University.
Declan commenced at C J Boyd Solicitors in 2019 and has played a fundamental role in a variety of matters including:
- Debt recovery;
- Employment law;
- Commercial and retailing leasing;
- Complex conveyancing including commercial premises such as Woolworths and Dan Murphy’s;
- Purchase and sale of businesses.
